Hitay is the Winner
JAKARTA — Consortium of PT Hitay Daya Energy and PT Dyfco Energy emerged as the winning bidder Geothermal Working Areas Gunung Talang-Bukit Kili with a planned capacity of 20 megawatt development.
Based on the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) No. 7257 K / 30 / MEM / 2016, quoted in Business, Sunday (23/10), a consortium Hitay and Dyfco won the tender by offering the lowest electricity price of US $ 12.75 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh). Benchmark price offered in the auction US $ 14.6 cents per kwh.
Hitay and Dyfco rid of PT Pertamina (Persero), which ranked second in the auction by bidding electricity price of US $ 13.6 cents per kWh.
Previously, Hitay has put money as a auction guarantee of Rp1 billion. The auction of geothermal working area (GWA) located in Solok, West Sumatra that has been ongoing since last year, but was canceled because there are no takers. The government re-auctioning the geothermal area in May 2016.
Director of Geothermal Directorate General of Renewable Energy MEMR Saefulhak Yunus said, his party was preparing an auction process geothermal working area quite tight.
“The auction process was long as we did a thorough check, from checking to the bank up to the embassies of origins,” said Yunus, Sunday (23/10).
The auction process is strict to ensure the winning bidder can meet the technical and financial qualifications.
According to him, the development of geothermal energy has been hampered by the winning bidder was not committed to continuing development.
Geothermal Working Area Gunung Talang-Bukit Kili area of 27,000 ha is estimated to have reserves of 65 MW of electricity. For the capacity of geothermal power plants (PLTP) is planned at 20 MW with the target of the operation in 2022.
